In this series, Vera Lutter takes a step back to recontextualize her earlier photographs within the setting of her own studio, choreographing the scenes as if the works were on stage. Lutter re-photographs the works with the same method in which they were realized, the camera obscura, causing negative to render as positive and vice-versa, ensconcing the now-positive photographs within the now-negative framework of the artist’s studio.
