This body of work was made from the vantage point of my Midtown Manhattan studio as I witnessed the demolition of a parking across the street and the subsequent construction of a luxury apartment building. The timeline of the series and of the construction site began in early 2011 and carries on into the late summer of 2012. The images take on vastly different qualities as the view shift from active demolition site to that of the architecture’s iron frame, and finally the completed façade of the building.
